What's the role?

We’re looking for the next generation of high-performing, multi-lingual, post-graduate talents to build on their Finance expertise and become our future business leaders. Hilti Outperformer is a global management development program like no other, with real responsibility from day one.

Who is Hilti?

For the sixth time in 11 years, Hilti has been recognized by Great Place to Work as a top employer. Founded in 1941 by the Hilti brothers, we have over 120 locations globally with 34,000 team members. We offer innovative solutions for the construction industry, emphasizing a passionate, inclusive team and a performance-driven culture. A substantial amount of our profit goes to the Hilti Foundation, promoting societal growth and sustainable impact.

What does the role involve?

Hilti Outperformer is a two-year program, where you’ll quickly be involved in the core of our business model, a range of international projects, with lots of exposure to senior management. It’s fast paced and challenging, but we’ll closely coach and mentor you. The program is split into four main stages of work:

  • 12 months as an account manager or field engineer in home country
  • 2 months on local accounting in home country
  • 4 months on regional finance project in regional headquarters
  • 6 months on strategic financial project in another region.

We want your thirst to learn, courage to challenge and desire to improve things, including yourself.

What do we offer?

Show us what you can do and, in return, we promise you the experience of a lifetime, the opportunity to work internationally, and a fast-track career in our global outperformer program with an unlimited contract. You’ll also take part in some fascinating courses and events:

Leadership development program – a comprehensive learning journey with IMD business school in Lausanne, Switzerland, with a qualification from IMD.

Business management training – individual training at Hilti. A focus on behavioral profiles, personal strengths, leadership styles and communication skills.

Global summit – 4-5 days at our global headquarters in Liechtenstein. A look at the way global business units function, plus the opportunity to further develop soft skills like situational leadership and international teamwork.

Social project – 7-8 days ‘building a better future’. A hands-on and hugely impactful community project, such as our most recent: building houses for displaced refugees in Bosnia.

After the program, you are prepared to take immediate responsibility and join one of our logistics, procurement, or operations teams around the globe.

What you need is:

  • You hold (or Soon) a master’s degree in economics, business administration, international management or similar
  • You are a multilingual talent, fluent in English and at least one other language.
  • You have gained international experience through your work or studies and have spent between 2 months and 2 years in a professional environment
  • You enjoy learning and are mature, assertive, curious and dedicated
  • You are flexible team player, with good communication and social skills, and you can inspire others.
  • You are internationally mobile. A global thinker who is keen for diverse cultural experiences and the opportunity to work abroad

Why should you apply?

We have a diverse team of people and some of our best team members joined us with no industry experience. We are more interested in your learning agility, commitment and drive to succeed. We hire for a career, not for a position: if you are looking for long-term career prospects and opportunities to grow both personally and professionally, this might be the perfect start.

Are you ready to jumpstart your career? Our hiring process is designed to help you showcase your skills and experience.

  1. It all starts with your application and a video interview.
  2. Get connected with our HR team in an online interview.
  3. Get ready to flex your problem-solving muscles with our online Business Case Round.
  4. Impress our Business Line Managers with your presentation skills and insights during the next round.
  5. And, if you make it to the end, you'll receive an invitation to our Assessment Center.
Exciting, right? Let's get started!

The application deadline for the next Assessment Center is October 31st 2024.
This will take place in Liechtenstein at Hilti Headquarter on November 11th and 12th 2024.
