What's the role?
Plant Design Expert will be acting as a single point of contact for a set of global / regional large accounts (EPCs such as McDermott, Aker, Wood, Fluor etc. and General Contractors) to assist them in creating a digital twin for Hilti Portfolio of products (MEP and structural supports, fire protection for penetrations and cable management solutions) in their selected Plant design software primarily Aveva E3D/ PDMS, Intergraph S3D, Bentley Microstation and Autodesk Plant3D. You will act as a technical support specialist to our sales team in the acquisition of large projects and acts a Plant design Administrator in the execution of the project. You will be based in a regional Project Management Office but will support large global projects and collaborate with a global team to ensure both short term and long-term readiness of solutions.

What does the role involve?
- Aligns with the PMO Head within the region and the Global Plant Design Business Owner on Project pipeline ahead and define the priorities.
- Supports Construction Project Managers and Business Developer in the project acquisition phase by explaining and demonstrating our plant design offer (3D catalogues / libraries and Smart Plug-ins) to address the account specific requirements.
- Partners with the customer’s Plant Design Administrators and Model Automation Leads to ensure necessary testing on our solutions can be performed and ensure that the catalogue holds.
- Leads the setting up of libraries and plug-ins for Hilti and Oglaend Modular supports, Firestop and Cable Management solutions.
- Acts as a single point of contact in case of challenges in installation of catalouges and supports troubleshooting on SW versions in case of conflicts.
- Trains the customer modelers and designers on using our libraries and plug-ins.
- Creates bespoke assemblies in case of customization required for project or account specific solutions.
- Internally within the organization, trains the sales and business development teams in the regions on the offer and capabilities of plant design solutions.
- Documents all customer facing activities in Salesforce and Clickup.
- Consolidates feedback from customers on challenges in existing offer and opportunities for a better solution to the Global Plant Design Business Owner.
- Partners with the Development team to support testing of libraries and documents features requests in Jira.
- Supports business development teams to share best practices and success stories on plant design projects and execution.

What you need is:
- Degree in engineering or equivalent technical diploma
- Experience with or within EPC, Engineering Consultant, Contractors and work on Energy projects preferred.
- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in Aveva PDMS/E3D, Integraph SP3D, Bentley, Autodesk P3D
- Experience as an Administrator preferred but not mandatory
- Good understanding of engineering practices & project execution concepts
- Strong understanding of current engineering design, drafting applications and engineering data integration software packages
- You have strong interpersonal skills to successfully perform in a global matrix environment, excellent stakeholder management skills, strong strategic, analytical and conceptual skills
- You are fluent in English (additional local languages are an asset)
- International travel activity 15 – 20%
