Intern - Product Management Direct Fastening (m/f/x)

What's the role?

In this role, you step into the shoes of a Global Product Manager for innovative Fastening on Steel solutions. You are involved in our strategy work and help to define the product portfolio that best fits our customer needs. Your ideas support us to sharpen our value proposition. Embedded in a cross-functional team you are in contact with our market organizations to define and implement marketing materials and initiatives targeted to build up product competence in our direct sales force for “your” products. We offer you Management exposure and a real job with real responsibility.

Start date is flexible to the student's availability, duration for 3-6 months

What does the role involve?

As intern in our department you will be part of DX marketing team.

Your key responsibilities will be to sustain our strong growth with Direct Fastening tools and consumables. You will have full ownership of several topics as portfolio sales animation, market potential assessment or be the marketing voice into development projects. You will lead and drive various marketing initiatives as marketing guides update or portfolio review. Finally, you will also support a BU strategic project through preparation of marketing packages for training, market access, as well as promotion material.

You will be part of a young and dynamic team that will support you through-out your learning experience in the shoes of a Global Product Manager.

What you need is:

  • Bachelor or Master student in marketing, business, engineering or similar
  • Advanced IT skills in MS-Office (particularly Excel, PowerPoint & Power-BI) and solid systems/data base knowledge
  • Outstanding attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment without compromising quality and accuracy
  • High level of entrepreneurial and autonomous mind-set with a high level of drive and ambition to outperform
  • Sharp mind that thinks things critically through as well as pragmatically delivers solutions
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex data in simple way, with fluency in English (and preferably in German)
