What's the role?

This Application Developer will work with leaders and experts on teams throughout the organization together & specify needs and develop solutions aimed at enhancing customer engagement and employee productivity. The position is responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. The applications developed by this position will work to:
1. Enable team member by automating processes to improve productivity and reduce errors from
manual repeatable tasks.
2. Web based application to access data and manage workflow of subsequent actions.
3. Deliver Marketing and Legal approved content to team members and customers.

What does the role involve?

• Design and create technical solutions in various systems to achieve results across the core Hilti process areas (Market Reach, Logistics, Finance, H/R) in support of process excellence
• Identify solutions that exist in core systems (SAP, BI, Salesforce) as well as provide innovative design / programming alternatives & web applications (JavaScript, VBScript, Angular, C#, .NET, SQL server, etc.) to address process gaps
• Stay up to date on innovation in design processes and technologies
• Apply solid understanding of business models to focus on process improvements, failure analysis, and identification of productivity gain opportunities
• Utilize SAP / BI system & reporting tools to analyze gaps and process improvements
• Must be able to partner cross-functionally with team members in various departments and function in a strong team environment within Market Reach
• Conduct analysis, partnering with functions to quantify opportunities / results, and then create reports utilizing solutions like: Power-BI, Data Lake, and BI
• Must be able to design reports, tables, and queries to enable assessment and results tracking as well as continue to support existing technical tools

• Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Business, Marketing, International Business, or Finance required

• Experience in a data driven web application development
• Design front-end landscape ensuring cross-platform compatibility and performance
• Develop efficient, user friendly, front end interfaces for accessing data
• Prototype potential new UI solutions
• Strong Technical knowledge of C#, VBScript, .NET, JavaScript, java Angular, IIS server, etc.
• Lead the establishment of a central library of reusable components for web and mobile applications (style guide) based on our Corporate Identity, needs of the business units and industry best practices
• Develop and own the tool chain, processes, best practices, and implementation guidelines that are the key assets for our software development process
• Define and measure Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for front-end performance
• Strong demonstrated knowledge of Email Automation
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) preferred

• Create database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, T-SQL Triggers, etc.
• Design, develop, and deploy SSIS Packages for ETL
• Automate data extraction from multiple sources (SAP, BI, Data Lake, etc.)
• Maintain referential, domain, and column integrity by using the available options such as constraints etc.
• Identify columns for Primary Keys in all the tables at the design time and create them
• Help write and optimize in-application SQL statements
• Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
• Microsoft SQL Server side development (i.e. SSIS, SSMS)

• Broad knowledge of local business processes and data is preferred
• Two to four years of project or team related experience requiring change management preferred
• Able to communicate with cross-functional team members and management at all levels within the organization
• Able to gather information, analyze, develop and partner with others to execute strategies productively using Database driven Web Applications
