Intern – Engineering Data Analyst (m/f/x)

What's the role?

You will be fully integrated in the Quality Team at Hilti’s headquarters where we’re shaping the Quality Strategies and the foundation for our outlasting products throughout the whole life cycle. As a part of our friendly and open-minded team you are analyzing repair-based quality data and processes and supporting the development of new measures and key performance indicators to improve repair quality and customer satisfaction.

Start date is flexible to the student's availability, duration for at least 6 months

What does the role involve?

As intern in our department you’ll be part of  the global Hilti quality management team . You’ll work closely with our experts to develop new end to end Quality Measures and KPI’s.


Your key responsibilities will be Extracting and analyzing SAP “big” repair data. Finding of statistical relevant patterns with strong causality to our tool portfolio (e.g. based on tool design, repair, customer usage). Connecting to the different stakeholders in our organization to understand key processes. Finding a simple way to visualize relevant data in a repetitive/automatized way.

PRODUCT LIFE CYCLE MANAGEMENT – In our global Quality Department we are involved in all phases of the product life cycle to continuously improve our products and services.

What you need is:

  • Enrollment in a Master's program in mechanical or electrical engineering, data science, mathematics, physics for the entire internship period
  • Both, good knowledge of data analysis software and technical product understanding is required
  • Familiar with an independent work style and ready to take responsibility in own area of competence
  • Good communication skills in English
